Armaf Club de Nuit Elite: Early Reviews vs Creed Wild Vetiver

Club de Nuit Elite by Armaf
At 2 AM, Instagram showed me a Club de Nuit bottle I was sure an AI had made up.

It wasn't fake. Armaf Club de Nuit Elite is a real 2026 Eau de Parfum, a fresh green fragrance of tea, rose and vetiver that most early wearers compare to Creed Wild Vetiver. In Canada, it costs about a ninth of the Creed's price. I haven't smelled it yet, so everything below comes from the official notes, early reviews on Reddit and Fragrantica, and the Creed Original Vetiver sitting on my own shelf.

Here's how it happened. I was doing the thing we all promise we won't do, scrolling reels long after midnight, when a bottle stopped my thumb. Same square Club de Nuit shape, same silver cap, same little medallion hanging on a chain. Except this one was clear glass, and the juice inside glowed green, fading into teal at the bottom.

My first thought: someone made a fan concept with AI. My second thought, about four seconds later: that green looks a lot like Creed Vetiver.

So I did what any sleep-deprived fragrance guy would do. I googled it. It was real, it had a name, and the comments were already full of people saying it smells like Creed.

That's what kept me awake. A 100 ml bottle of Creed Original Vetiver sells for $620 CAD at Harry Rosen, and Creed's newer Wild Vetiver is $650. If Armaf had genuinely bottled that feeling for under $70, I needed to know. If it hadn't, I needed to know that too, before my thumb found the "Buy now" button.

Here's everything I found.

What does Club de Nuit Elite actually smell like?

Club de Nuit Elite smells like fresh citrus and green tea at first, turns into a dewy rose in the middle, and settles into clean, earthy vetiver. That's the pattern early wearers keep describing, and it lines up neatly with the official notes.

Here's the note list Armaf publishes:

๐Ÿ‹ Top notes: green tea, bergamot, apple, Sichuan pepper, pink pepper

๐ŸŒน Heart notes: Rosa centifolia (May rose), geranium, blackcurrant, aromatic notes, earthy notes

๐ŸŒพ Base notes: vetiver, amber, cedarwood, musk, cashmeran

Notes on paper are one thing. What people actually smell is another, so here's what early wearers report, stage by stage.

The opening: The first few minutes are described as limey citrus and dewy green tea, slightly herbal, with a little fizz. Some compare it to a glass of lemon-lime soda, which honestly makes sense with bergamot and apple up top. A few people say the opening is the best part of the whole fragrance.

The heart: Then the rose arrives, and this is where Elite gets interesting. Wearers describe it as fresh-cut and dewy, more like a garden after rain than a jar of rose jam. Most say it doesn't smell fake. Some find it the loudest note in the bottle.

The dry down: Hours later, the rose fades and vetiver takes over: earthy, grassy and smooth. Several wearers say this is where the Wild Vetiver resemblance is strongest. There are even comparisons to rosy fragrances like Parfums de Marly Delina at this stage.

What Club De Nuit Elite Smells like - Fragrance Notes

My read, on paper. As someone who loves fresh, woody and earthy scents, this is my kind of pyramid. No oud, no vanilla, nothing gourmand. The earthy notes and cashmeran (a soft, musky-woody aroma molecule) tell me the base should feel dry and smooth rather than sweet. The rose is the wildcard. That one note will decide whether you love Elite or find it too floral.

Is Club de Nuit Elite inspired by Creed Wild Vetiver? The notes say yes

Yes. Club de Nuit Elite is widely seen as an affordable alternative to Creed Wild Vetiver, the vetiver-and-rose fragrance Creed released in spring 2026. Armaf hasn't officially said so, but the note lists make the link hard to ignore: 7 of Wild Vetiver's 9 listed notes appear in Elite's list, and the other 2 have close counterparts.

Creed describes Wild Vetiver as a vetiver inspired by "an English garden party wandering into the wild". Its pyramid is short: timur berry, bergamot and pink pepper on top; rose centifolia, geranium and blackcurrant bud in the heart; vetiver, cedarwood and amberwood in the base.

Now put Elite's list next to it. Bergamot, pink pepper, rose centifolia, geranium, blackcurrant, vetiver and cedarwood are all there. Timur becomes Sichuan pepper, a botanical cousin (more on that in a second). Amberwood becomes amber. Then Armaf adds six notes of its own: green tea, apple, aromatic notes, earthy notes, musk and cashmeran.

In simple words, Elite looks like Wild Vetiver's skeleton wearing a greener, fruitier jacket.

Club de Nuit Elite and Creed Wild Vetiver notes comparison

A matching note list doesn't guarantee a matching smell, of course. Two cooks can use the same spices and still make two very different dals. But it explains why so many people online call these two scent twins.

And the price gap is why any of this matters. At the time of writing, Wild Vetiver is $650 CAD for 100 ml at Harry Rosen, while Elite is $68.99 CAD at The Fragrance Cart. That's roughly nine bottles of Elite for one bottle of the Creed.

Wild Vetiver or Original Vetiver: which Creed is Elite really chasing?

Club de Nuit Elite is much closer to Creed Wild Vetiver than to Creed Original Vetiver. Only 3 of Original Vetiver's 8 listed notes appear in Elite's list: bergamot, vetiver and musk.

This matters because a lot of the reels I saw simply said "it smells like Creed Vetiver", and Creed now has two of them.

I know Original Vetiver well, because it lives on my shelf (I reviewed Creed Original Vetiver here). To my nose, it smells really fresh and mass appealing, the kind of clean that people notice without knowing why. I've had compliments from it even 5 to 6 hours after spraying.

On paper, Original Vetiver wraps its vetiver in citrus, ginger and iris. Wild Vetiver swaps that frame for rose, blackcurrant and a peppery berry, and Elite follows Wild Vetiver's frame almost note for note.

Here's the part I found fascinating. Creed says both of its vetivers use the same vetiver oil, from a supplier that has been producing vetiver oil since the 1960s.

So the difference between Original and Wild Vetiver isn't the vetiver itself. It's everything wrapped around it, and that wrapping (rose, blackcurrant, pepper) is exactly what Elite borrows.

So if you're hoping Elite will smell like Original Vetiver, the one I own, keep your expectations in check. If Wild Vetiver is the one you've been eyeing, Elite is aimed squarely at you.

The fact you'll repeat at work: two peppers, zero pepper. Elite lists two peppers, and neither one is actually pepper. Sichuan pepper comes from Zanthoxylum, a plant group in the citrus family that's unrelated to black pepper. Pink pepper comes from a tree in the cashew family. The twist: one species, Zanthoxylum armatum, is called timur in Nepal and is also sold as Sichuan pepper. So Creed's "timur berry" and Armaf's "Sichuan pepper" could be the same plant wearing two name tags. (Sources: Sichuan pepper, Schinus molle)

What Reddit and early reviews are saying about Club de Nuit Elite

Early reviews of Club de Nuit Elite on Reddit and Fragrantica mostly agree on three things: it smells fresh, green and rose-forward; it's close to Creed Wild Vetiver without being identical; and performance so far is light to moderate.

I went through the Reddit threads and the Fragrantica reviews so you don't have to. Here's what keeps coming up.

How close is it to Wild Vetiver?

People on Reddit are saying CDN Elite shares a lot of DNA with Wild Vetiver, especially in the drydown, but it isn't a 1:1 match. Some call it a hybrid: part Wild Vetiver, part Louis Vuitton Imagination, that bright citrus-and-tea scent. Others describe it as a lighter, fresher take on Wild Vetiver. On Fragrantica, reviewers who've smelled both put the similarity at roughly 80 to 90%, while a few say the Creed is clearly better and smells more natural up close.

The rose is the talking point.

Several wearers are surprised by how natural and smooth the rose feels. One description on Reddit compares it to a spring picnic on a green hillside, with fresh roses nearby and dew on the grass. That's a lovely image, and it tells you this is a daytime fragrance. On the other hand, some people find the rose so prominent that it leans feminine on them.

It's smoother than people expected. A lot of people go into an Armaf expecting a loud, sharp opening. With Elite, many early reviewers report the opposite: smooth, polished and less synthetic than they expected. A minority disagree and notice a slightly synthetic edge up close.

Good value, not a miracle. Even people who aren't blown away call it a good buy for the money. In the US, it has turned up in local shops for around US$50.

My take on the chatter: the reactions feel unusually balanced for a hyped launch. Nobody serious is calling it identical to the Creed, and nobody is calling it a disaster. When a fragrance gets that kind of measured response in its first couple of months, it usually means the smell is good and performance is the open question. Which brings us to performance.

How long does Club de Nuit Elite last? Not "beast mode" performance (yet)

Club de Nuit Elite lasts around 4 to 7 hours based on early reviews, with its strongest projection in the first hour or two. Armaf claims 6 to 8 hours. Most early wearers describe it as light to moderate, not the "beast mode" some AI search answers promise.

This is where the internet gets confusing. Ask Google's AI Mode about Elite right now and it says the fragrance is beast mode and fills a room for the first few hours. When I went through what actual wearers report, the picture looks quite different:

๐Ÿท️ Armaf's claim: 6 to 8 hours of wear

๐Ÿค– AI search answers: "beast mode", room-filling in the first hours

๐Ÿ’ฌ Reddit, from a brand-new bottle: very light at first, about 1.5 hours of good projection, then a close bubble until around hour 4

๐Ÿ’ฌ Fragrantica reviews: from "moderate" to about 7 hours on skin with intimate projection; a few report strong projection from a single spray

Armaf Club de Nuit Elite Performance

There are two reasons for the gap. First, performance really does change with your skin, the weather and how many sprays you use. Second, almost every review so far comes from a brand-new bottle, and many wearers believe Armaf fragrances get stronger after resting for a few weeks.

Elite is an Eau de Parfum, which usually means a higher oil concentration than an Eau de Toilette. But concentration alone doesn't decide longevity, as I explain in my guide to EDT vs EDP vs Parfum vs Elixir. If you want more hours from any fragrance, these simple ways to make perfume last longer help more than you'd expect.

Will maceration fix it?

Maybe a little, but don't expect a miracle. In my experience, maceration improves a fragrance by around 5 to 15% at most. It won't turn a light scent into a projection monster.

In the fragrance community, maceration usually means spraying a new bottle a few times, then leaving it in a cool, dark place for a few weeks so the air inside can help the blend settle. The science behind it is debated, but plenty of people swear by it.

I've had a few bottles that did get better after resting. But the change was small, maybe 5 to 10%, and 15% at the very most. A bit smoother, a bit more noticeable, nothing dramatic.

So if Elite gives you about 1.5 hours of real projection out of the box, I'd hope for a little more after a month. I wouldn't bet on it filling a room.

Is Club de Nuit Elite for men or unisex?

Club de Nuit Elite is unisex. Armaf lists it as unisex on its own website, even though Fragrantica and most retailers file it under men's fragrances. Reading the notes, I'd say it leans slightly masculine, but the rose means it won't feel masculine to everyone.

My reasoning is simple. Vetiver, cedarwood, two peppers and earthy notes make up the backbone, and most people read those as classic masculine notes. Creed's Wild Vetiver, the fragrance Elite is compared to, is sold as unisex too.

Early wearers are split, though. A good number find the rose so prominent that Elite leans feminine on their skin. Others call it perfectly unisex and say any guy who likes roses will be fine. And a few men expecting another bold Club de Nuit were surprised by how floral the middle gets.

So if you don't enjoy rose in a men's fragrance, try a sample before buying. If you do like rose, or you share fragrances with your partner, Elite could be an easy one to share.

Club de Nuit Elite vs Club de Nuit Intense Man: which one gets you noticed?

Club de Nuit Intense Man is the bolder, fruitier, smokier crowd-pleaser, while Club de Nuit Elite is the fresher, greener rose-and-vetiver option. My prediction, before I've smelled Elite, is that Intense Man will stay the bigger compliment-getter.

I have history with Intense Man. It was a blind buy from Amazon in 2025, and it turned out to be one of my best fragrance decisions. My own nose goes blind to it within minutes (here's why that happens), but coworkers kept complimenting me, and so did random people while I was shopping at Walmart.

Here's why I think Intense Man keeps its crown. Its pineapple, smoky birch and sweet vanilla-musk base is the kind of combination that projects and turns heads in a crowd. Elite's tea, rose and vetiver point to something cleaner and quieter, and early reports suggest people will notice it up close rather than from across the room.

They're still family, though. The two share five listed notes: bergamot, apple, blackcurrant, rose and musk. Same parents, very different personalities.

๐ŸŒซ️ Vibe: Intense Man is fruity, smoky and sweet. Elite is green, rosy and earthy.

๐ŸŽฏ Most compared to: Intense Man with Creed Aventus. Elite with Creed Wild Vetiver.

๐ŸŒค️ Best for: Intense Man for nights out and getting noticed. Elite for the office, daytime, spring and summer.

๐Ÿ“ข Performance: Intense Man has earned me compliments from coworkers and strangers. Elite is light to moderate so far, based on early reviews.

Club de nuit elite vs club de nuit intense man

If you want compliments and attention, start with Intense Man. If you want something cleaner for work and warm days, and you like rose, Elite makes more sense. My personal favourite Club de Nuits are still Intense Man EDP and Club de Nuit Iconic, and Elite will have to earn its place next to them.

Elite also arrives at a big moment for Armaf. The Dubai house is putting a lot behind the Club de Nuit line right now, including the new Club de Nuit Intense Overdose fronted by Indian actor John Abraham as its global brand ambassador. Next to that loud launch, Elite is the quiet sibling, and I mean that as a compliment.

Club de Nuit Elite price in Canada, India and on Amazon

Club de Nuit Elite costs about $69 CAD in Canada, US$60 on Armaf's US website and around Rs 4,990 in India. Because it's so new, stock is patchy almost everywhere.

Prices checked October 2026:
๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ The Fragrance Cart (Canada): $68.99 CAD, in stock
๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Fragrance Online Co (Canada): $69.95 CAD, sold out
๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ FragranceBuy (Canada): sold out
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Armaf official website (US): US$60
๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ FridayCharm (India): Rs 4,990 on sale (regular Rs 5,750), sold out
And for comparison, at Harry Rosen in Canada:
๐ŸŒฟ Creed Wild Vetiver, 100 ml: $650 CAD
๐ŸŒฑ Creed Original Vetiver, 100 ml: $620 CAD

Club de nuit elite price in Canada, USA, India

FragranceBuy is usually my first stop, and it's sold out at the time of writing. The physical stores I checked around me haven't received any stock yet either.

Club de Nuit Elite is also showing up on Amazon. If you buy it there, check who it "ships from" and who it's "sold by" before you order. A brand-new release with sellers you've never heard of is exactly where fakes like to hide, so it's worth reading my guide on how to identify if a perfume is original or fake first.

One more warning. While researching this post, I found a website using the Armaf name on an unrelated web address, selling Elite for around US$18. That's less than a third of Armaf's own price. When a fragrance this new is that cheap, walk away.

Should you blind buy Club de Nuit Elite?

Club de Nuit Elite is a fairly safe blind buy if you like fresh, green and rosy fragrances. It's a risky one if you dislike floral notes or need strong projection.

Buy it if:

✅ You've wanted Creed Wild Vetiver but can't justify $650
✅ You like green tea, rose and vetiver, and clean, office-friendly scents
✅ You mostly wear fragrance in spring and summer, or during the day
✅ You're happy with a scent that sits closer to the skin

Skip it, or sample it first, if:

❌ Rose in a men's fragrance isn't your thing
❌ You want beast-mode projection and a compliment magnet
❌ You're hoping for a twin of Creed Original Vetiver
❌ You mainly need a winter or night-out fragrance

If you're on the fence, waiting a few weeks costs you nothing. Stock will settle, more people will be wearing rested bottles, and the performance picture will get clearer. That's exactly what I'm doing before I buy mine.

What we still don't know about Club de Nuit Elite

A few important details about Club de Nuit Elite are still unconfirmed at the time of writing:

• Who made it. Armaf hasn't named a perfumer.
• The official launch date. Listings started appearing in August 2026, but Armaf hasn't published a date.
• Whether Armaf calls it Wild Vetiver-inspired. That comparison comes from wearers and retailers, not from the brand.
• How it performs from a rested bottle. Nearly all reviews so far come from fresh bottles.
• When it reaches Canadian store shelves. For now, it's mostly online.

I'll update this post as those answers come in.

Club de Nuit Elite FAQs

What does Armaf Club de Nuit Elite smell like?

Club de Nuit Elite smells fresh and green at first, with citrus, green tea and apple, then turns into a dewy rose before drying down to earthy vetiver and soft woods. Early wearers describe it as clean, natural-smelling and slightly floral, with the vetiver growing stronger over time.

What is Club de Nuit Elite inspired by?

Club de Nuit Elite is widely considered an affordable alternative to Creed Wild Vetiver, released in 2026. Armaf hasn't officially confirmed the inspiration, but 7 of Wild Vetiver's 9 listed notes appear in Elite's list. Early wearers say the two share the same scent DNA, especially in the drydown, without being identical.

What are people on Reddit saying about Club de Nuit Elite?

People on Reddit mostly say Club de Nuit Elite is a fresh, rose-forward green fragrance that's close to Creed Wild Vetiver but not a 1:1 match. The opening gets a lot of love, and many call it office safe and good value. Performance from new bottles is described as light to moderate.

Does Club de Nuit Elite smell like Creed Original Vetiver?

Not really, at least on paper. Club de Nuit Elite shares only 3 of Creed Original Vetiver's 8 listed notes: bergamot, vetiver and musk. Original Vetiver is built around citrus, ginger and iris, while Elite follows Wild Vetiver's rose, blackcurrant and pepper structure. If Original Vetiver is your favourite, sample Elite first.

How long does Club de Nuit Elite last?

Club de Nuit Elite lasts around 4 to 7 hours based on early reviews, with its strongest projection in the first hour or two. Armaf claims 6 to 8 hours. Most reviews so far come from brand-new bottles, so longevity may improve slightly once bottles have rested for a few weeks.

Does Club de Nuit Elite need maceration?

Many early wearers believe Club de Nuit Elite improves after maceration, meaning a few sprays and a few weeks of rest after opening. In my experience with other fragrances, maceration helps by about 5 to 15% at most. It can make a scent smoother and a little stronger, but it won't turn a light performer into a beast.

Is Club de Nuit Elite for men or women?

Club de Nuit Elite is unisex. Armaf lists it as unisex, although most retailers sell it as a men's fragrance. Its vetiver, cedarwood and peppers lean masculine, while the prominent rose makes some wearers find it slightly feminine. Men who enjoy rose should be comfortable wearing it.

Is Club de Nuit Elite office safe?

Yes, Club de Nuit Elite looks like a very office-safe fragrance. Armaf itself positions it for the office and daytime, and early wearers describe it as clean and classy. With light to moderate projection, it's unlikely to bother the people sitting next to you.

Is Club de Nuit Elite good for summer or winter?

Club de Nuit Elite is best for spring and summer. At the time of writing, Fragrantica voters mostly pick it for spring, summer and daytime, with very few votes for winter. Its citrus, green tea and rose suit warm days, while the vetiver base can stretch into early fall.

Does Club de Nuit Elite smell synthetic?

Most early wearers say Club de Nuit Elite smells smoother and less synthetic than they expected, with a surprisingly natural rose. A few reviewers notice a slightly synthetic edge up close, especially next to Creed Wild Vetiver. Skin chemistry and bottle age both play a part.

Which Armaf Club de Nuit is best?

The best Club de Nuit depends on your taste. My personal favourites are Club de Nuit Intense Man EDP and Club de Nuit Iconic. If you want something greener and fresher, with rose and vetiver instead of smoky fruit, Club de Nuit Elite is the one to try.

Which Armaf smells like Creed?

Two Armaf fragrances are most often linked to Creed. Club de Nuit Intense Man is widely compared to Creed Aventus, and Club de Nuit Elite is widely compared to Creed Wild Vetiver. Neither is identical to its Creed, but both offer a similar fragrance profile for a fraction of the price.

Where can I buy Club de Nuit Elite in Canada?

At the time of writing, Club de Nuit Elite is available online in Canada from The Fragrance Cart for $68.99 CAD, and it's listed on Amazon. FragranceBuy and Fragrance Online Co are sold out. Stick to retailers you trust, and check the seller carefully on Amazon.

My take, for now

On paper, Armaf Club de Nuit Elite is one of the most interesting Club de Nuits in years: a fresh, green rose-and-vetiver scent aimed squarely at Creed Wild Vetiver, for about a ninth of the price. Early reviews say the smell is genuinely good. Performance is the question mark.

For me personally, the notes tick almost every box: fresh, woody, earthy, no oud, no heavy sweetness. The rose and the projection are the two things I need to test with my own nose. I don't expect Elite to replace Club de Nuit Intense Man as my compliment-getter. As a clean office scent for spring and summer, though, it could be a steal.

As soon as it's in stock near me, I'm buying a bottle and adding my own wear test to this post: how long it lasts on my skin, how far it projects, and whether anyone at work notices.

Have you smelled Club de Nuit Elite yet, or Wild Vetiver? Tell me in the comments how close you think they are. I'd love to know before my own bottle arrives.
